Fans Angry at ZEROBASEONE’s Gyuvin for Body Shaming ZhangHao in Behind-the-Scenes Viral Video!

ZEROBASEONE member Kim Gyuvin is facing criticism from fans after being accused of body shaming his groupmate Zhang Hao in a recently uploaded behind-the-scenes video.

The clip, released on the group’s official YouTube channel, shows the members during a photoshoot for their upcoming concert tour announcement.

In one part of the video, Zhang Hao can be seen wearing a cropped jacket that slightly reveals his stomach due to the outfit’s design. Gyuvin then walks over to him, touches his tummy playfully, and jokingly comments that “different food stores” are located there even naming a few foods as he points to different spots.

Zhang Hao responds that the outfit is for the concert and that he has been preparing in advance for it, seemingly brushing it off.

However, after Gyuvin walks away, Zhang Hao appears visibly uncomfortable. When the cameraman asks if something is wrong, Zhang Hao mentions that he was body-shamed and seems upset about it.

After the video was shared online, a specific clip of the interaction quickly went viral on X (formerly Twitter), leading to widespread criticism toward Gyuvin. Many fans expressed disappointment, saying that such remarks are inappropriate, especially in 2025.

Some fans also noticed that Zhang Hao later changed his outfit from the cropped jacket seen in the behind-the-scenes video to a longer jacket during the actual concert, interpreting it as a sign that he might have felt self-conscious.

However, opinions are divided. Some fans defended Gyuvin, saying the interaction was just friendly teasing between close members.

Others, however, emphasized that joking about someone’s body even as a friend can still be harmful.

This isn’t the first time Gyuvin has been criticized for similar comments, with some fans recalling past instances where he made remarks about other members’ bodies.

While some fans continue to defend Gyuvin, the incident has reignited conversations about body image, sensitivity, and the pressure idols face within the K-pop industry both from fans and their peers.
