KBS has officially announced a significant change regarding the much-anticipated ‘Music Bank in Madrid‘ concert. Originally set to take place at the iconic Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on October 12, 2024, the performance will now be held at the Auditorio Miguel Ríos in Rivas City on the same day.
In a statement released on September 26, KBS clarified that the decision to shift the venue was made following an on-site inspection of the Auditorio Miguel Rios. The production team evaluated various aspects of the concert hall and ultimately concluded that it would provide the best environment for the event.
The change in location comes after Real Madrid CF announced that all music performances scheduled at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium until March 2025 would be canceled.
This decision was reportedly made due to ongoing noise complaints from local residents, and KBS expressed concern over the lack of prior discussion or official request from the venue.
In their statement, KBS conveyed their disappointment regarding the cancellation at the Bernabeu but also expressed gratitude to the dedicated fans who have been eagerly waiting for the concert for over a dozen days. They thanked the artists who remain committed to performing despite the last-minute venue change.
KBS also extended their appreciation to local partners in Madrid, including KANGOORU, SL, KOREAN POWER, AIE, and the team at RIVA SCI. Their efforts were crucial in identifying a suitable alternative venue after the unexpected cancellation of the concert at the Real Madrid stadium.
Despite the challenges faced, KBS reassured fans that they are committed to delivering an outstanding performance, stating, “We will do our best to show the best performance with the participating artists until the very end of the concert.”
